Sebapharma shows its commitment to equal opportunities

Sebapharma has donated 10,000 euros to support two projects run by the Foundation of German Business

There is not a fair and level playing field for all when it comes to getting on to the professional or academic ladder. That is why Sebapharma is especially committed to equal opportunities. The family business is providing 10,000 euros to support two Foundation of German Business projects that are helping young people to access the world of work and study. The nationwide support programmes “Zeig, was du kannst!” (English: show what you can do) and “Studienkompass” (English: study compass) will each receive 5,000 euros. “We take our social responsibility very seriously. If all young people today are to realise their full potential, we need to level the educational and professional path so that graduates have equal opportunities for future success in their working lives – whatever their origin and social background”, said Thomas Maurer, Chief Executive Officer.

The “Zeig, was du kannst!” project is helping young lower-secondary-school leavers who want to make something of their lives but need help finding their way into the world of work due to their background. The goal is to strengthen the teenagers’ personal development so that they can independently and successfully shape their educational journey. The “Studienkompass” programme provides guidance to young people from non-academic families on the courses available to them and supports them in their first year of studies with, among other things, personal mentoring, making it easier for them to access higher education.
